Since 2006, FPL has been responsible for
a Capacity Enhancement Feasibility Study of the
intersection of PCH and Warner Avenue (with
a wetlands/ environmental analysis
component), a citywide traffic signal Left Turn Phasing Study (for 47 existing signalized locations), 5 miles of street lighting design (including the
conversion of 5KV series street lighting
systems to 240V for six streets including
PCH), 10 traffic signals, 15 miles of
signing and striping (including Class 2 and
Class 3 bikeways, some with adjacent
parking), and intersection improvements for
Main Street and 17th Street/Utica Avenue.
In addition to Huntington Beach, FPL’s
"on-call" experience
includes projects for the
Cities of Huntington Beach, Irvine, Santa
Ana, Mission Viejo, and Downey, as well as
multiple Caltrans "on-call" freeway traffic
and lighting system improvement projects.
Furthermore, FPL is currently participating in POLB's
Professional Civil Engineering Services program for
land improvements, preliminary design, utility design,
traffic design, and stormwater pollution prevention
design. Moreover, FPL is on two of the three
teams participating in Los Angeles World Airport's (LAWA)
"on-call" program. FPL is also on the following Metro "on-call" benches: Highway Programs Planning and
Deliverables – Design Planning Services, Countywide Planning
& Development – Planning for Electrical
Engineering (for the past 8 years), and joint
Development (with gkkwrks as prime) for Urban
Planning and Architectural Design.
