FPL specializes in delivering joint jurisdiction Caltrans projects, where stakeholders include owners, the local Caltrans district, Caltrans Headquarters, municipalities, and additional stakeholders such as homeowner associations and neighboring museums. FPL has participated in approximately 100 projects under the jurisdiction of Caltrans, particularly in Districts 7, 8, 11, and 12. FPL’s highway project experience encompasses planning and design projects, such as the I-5 HOV Lane Access Conversion Between SR-57 and Beach Boulevard in Orange County, for which FPL served as prime consultant to OCTA for both the PSR/PR and final PS&E.
FPL has been involved in well over a dozen toll and express lane projects throughout California, including seven projects involving six toll bridges in the San Francisco Bay Area. In particular, FPL has provided electronic toll and traffic management (ETTM) design for ten projects to date, including the original 91 Express Lanes and their recent extension by RCTC into Corona.
